the bad news is that the 1841 Dacre returns appear to be missing from the data cd i have. 
However, i dont know if you have any 1891 census for the Atkinson family, but i've searched the whole village & found the following families:

The Monk Ing people are mine G-G-Grandfather John; the others, we know of no connection...so far. John was born June 3 1816 poss Darley, chr June 30 1816 Hampsthwaite. We believe his parents were John Atkinson (b abt 1793) and Hannah (b abt 1793 nee Whitfield) who marr at St Peter's C of E Leeds 1813. It seems that John (b 1816) changed to Methodist from C of E but we don't know when. JOHN AND HANNAH'S CHILDREN WERE BORN "CH OF ENG Bishop's transcripts, 1632-1860 Church of England. Parish Church of Hampsthwaite (Yorkshire) film or fiche number 0918369"
Is there anywhere we can look for birth of John and Hannah??
