Churches & Chapels in the Wirral Help
« on: Wednesday 30 March 05 21:15 UTC (UK) »

Hi Everyone

I have found it  almost impossible to find any photo's,Post cards or any sort of picture at all. Of  any Chapels or Church's in the wirral and the ones hidden from view that no one notices. so many have been demolished the last few years.Seemingly leaving no trace in photo form. I now want to start another project. That is to collect as many photo's of church's as possible the older the better especially if they are now gone for ever,I want to put them in a album.  For prosperity and when i get emails from other parts of the U.K And abroad saying my Grandparents were married in,for instance, The  Independent chapel (welsh, and demolished 18months ago) it would would be nice to able to say, i have a photo of that. So if there is anyone out there who would like to help me out with some photo's. I would be truly grateful

Hi Peter & every one

Have just been to the website it's great thank you for letting me know about it. I have seen most of the churches in my area that are on the site. I could never take photo's like those, I get good one's of my thumb though Grin

Strangely enough i Have been up at the library Trying to find any pictures of the now gone. Liscard Independent Chapel that once stood on Rake Lane.I didn't find anything. I did find something i never knew they had. As well as the M.I's for St Hilary published by the Cheshire F.H.S. They also have the ones for

The Parish Church of the Holy Cross .(this has a drawing on the front that looks amazingly like my picture above)
Parish Church Of St Johns Egremont
Parish Church of Christchurch Moreton.
St John The Divine Frankby with Greasby
Parish Church of Holy Trinity Hoylake
(West Kirby group F.H.S 2003)
Parish Church of St Albans Liscard
(Wallasey Group F.H.S 1999
