Boy or Girl? Pearl William Baker
« on: Wednesday 30 March 05 22:29 UTC (UK) »

Smiley  I have just discovered that a branch of my family moved from Essex to Kent, where we seem to acquire a 'Pearl William Baker' who is shown on the census as 'grandson'   I did wonder about this, but as he appears again ten years later with the same name, and working as an engine fitter's apprentice, then I guess that he is a young man despite this odd name.
in 1901 and in 1891 he is shown as living with his grandparents William and Mary Ann Baker.  Does anybody else have this oddly named young man on their tree?   Huh  or even as a tenuous connection with a leaf  Huh Huh

The marriage reference was Volume 2a, Page 1055...

Knew I'd forget that!
