Names in an old diary
« on: Thursday 31 March 05 07:07 BST (UK) »

My wife's grandmother, Lucy FLETCHER, was living at Kemberton, Salop,  in 1902 and received for her 20th birthday a "diary" called Thoughts & Theories, A Book of Confessions and Opinions for the Boudoir and the Drawing-Room.

"Thoughts and Theories" is a fascinating diary style book which contains the hand written entries of friends and relations giving their comments on a set range of topics such as poetry, music, marriage, country life etc.

The following is a list of those that made entries and if any name rings a bell I will be very pleased to hear from you.

It might be a good idea to search the Surname Interest Table here on Rootschat (devised by Berlin Bob Cheesy) to see whether any other members are researching the names.

 Hello

I was very interested in reading the names appearing in the old diary.  I am a resident of Nova Scotia, Canada.  I have been tracing my ancestral roots for a goodly number of years.

I just wanted to mention that I was interested when I saw the following surnames. "Lees";  "Rogers";  "Plant";  "Jones"

The lines I am researching are HUMPHERSON and LEES(e).  The surnames I have mentioned appear on my tree.

My ancestors come from the following areas: Donnington Wood, Lilleshall, Newport and surrounding areas.

What further information you could provide would be appreciated.
