Discussion on uploading file types
« on: Monday 24 May 04 10:11 BST (UK) »

The indexes are in excel format. when i do a look up, i search, highlight /cut / paste etc. is quick and looks neat.
I use spreadsheets all the time, great for sorting data.
how-ever why is it that i cannot upload an xls and the alternative when pasted onto the message window looks very confusing [and messy] to the reader.
any suggestions?
how many lines of text are allowed?

Xls files can contain viruses.  They only let you upload files that can't contain viruses.  Don't know about character length  Ihad to split my BMD list in the Scotland forum, but one trick is not to paste direct into a message but paste it into Notepad first then paste it into the message from there.  This works for me but I don't know how?

Cheers,
Pam
