hi vic1 and kevin....just for the record...my ancestors from eardisley...
ELIZABETH STRINGHAM B 1739..her parents were
WILLIAM STRINGHAM B 1709 and SARAH LEWIS B 1709....sarahs parents were
SAMUEL LEWIS B 1685 and ELIZABETH unknown b abt 1685...samuels parents were
JOANNIS(latin for john)LEWIS b abt 1660 and ALICIA unknown b abt 1660.
so i would be very grateful kevin if these 2 surnames pop up in your research, and also vic....were there any STRINGHAMS or LEWIS family in Eardisley when you lived there??...thanks...and regards...allan...joannis lewis`s 8xg grandson..lol

The furthest I have got back on my Jones line is a marriage between James Jones and Jane Pugh 1824 in Eardisley.

My lot appear to be from the Welton area of Eardisley.
