Darn Camera
« on: Saturday 02 April 05 20:15 UTC (UK) »

Can anyone direct me to someone to give me a tip on a camera
Basically.I bought a Polaroid camera 18 months ago,Not digital. My first new one in years. I only used it once because most of the photo's were blurred. The problem is the shutter button is flush with the camera. It is very hard to press down i have to keep my nail short because you can only use the tip of the finger. Will i have to wait till it wears a bit more? or can i help it along.I have about 5 camera's on the go at the moment but i need this one.

How about gluing a small bit of rubber on the button to raise it up  a bit.

Thanks for that idia Deadants, but that wasn't possible. However i have now dug out the booklet and found i have to press the button twice.Once for lights to go on to tell me the camera and flash are ready. Then again to take the photo. Obviously not an aim and  fast shoot camera Smiley

Hi Celia

This has nothing to do with your darn camera.

I noticed on your profile "Jones - Cheetham" is that Cheetham Hill, Manchester by any chance.

Reason for asking is I have a Jones line in the Cheetham Hill/Higher Broughton area, they originated from Denbighshire with Griffith Jones born abt 1827. My connection was with Selena Jones born 1901, this was my Grandmother.

My dad still knows a few Jones's still in the Cheetham area.

Maybe just Maybe, we may get a connection.

Regards
Ken
