my niece in redcar told me about  " rootschat ". it is a really good site that you don't want to log out of it. Roll Eyes   i have been in most of the threads but still have lots more to visit.  you don't log in for a half hour you are in for 2/3 hours, then you wonder where the time went. Huh

you post a query and before you know it an answer to it is on the screen. very nice people or do they prefer "rootchatters ". Grin

Several people mentioned Rootschat to me firstly from the BBC's Family tree board but others as well.

Also I've mentioned Rootschat to some friends who are doing their own Family Tree researches.

Does this messageboard have anything to with subjects like the
"SoE" Special Operations Executive as I have heard of it and have just come across a distant late relative who was in the SoE a spy wow

I am also related to the bio-scientist Rosalind Franklin, who discovered the Single DNA Helix structure in 1953. But one of my main regrets in my life is that I never met this talented lady, who died at the young age of 37 in 1958 !!
The avatar's of my paternal grandmother, K. Jessel.
It is fun doing this amount of research.

Welcome to rootschat all those that have found the site recently.

RosalindElsie............ if you post on the Armed Forces Board you may find someone who can help/advise you on the S.O.E. aspect of your research.

I found Rootschat through Google 5 years ago. I joined in September 2004 and have been a member of Rootschat for 5 years nearly. I love Rootschat, it is probably one of the best genealogy forums on the internet.

I am just so glad that I found RC.  If only our unhappy world operated with the same philosophy and friendliness how wonderful it would be.  To all at RC I send my very best regards.

I can't remember how I   found my way  to Roots Chat.  But I have been wandering around it for  a while now....

Haven't  had  any results to my ancestory posts yet, though...
But, who knows, someday someone might just  wander in and  be surprised to see that there is someone  out there with the same  ancestors..
Might be shock to them  !! Shocked  Shocked   Shocked   Shocked   Shocked

LMAO!

Put another post on each one (call it refresh or something) so that they show up again in the 'unread posts' list.  Ther's so much stuff on RC that I think things just get buried sometimes
