Hi everyone,
                   I'm trying to eliminate names so as to find one of my g.g.grandmothers, i have got two possibilities all i know is she was born in Wigan. I have one from Sanbach Cheshire East and one from Winsford Chashire central. Could anyone tell me if any of these districts are in or come under Wigan for birth.

     Sorry none of those districts are in the registation district of Wigan.
Wigan is only included in Cheshire for some early probate records, for everything else its in Lancashire.

Thank you peterbennet i have realized my mistake now. Looking at the census information it does say Wigan Lancashire.
