Nancy's father Francis Hill is the son of Sarah Carruthers who is the sister of my direct Helen Carruthers.
I have quite a bit on this family as there is another researcher who is related through Sarah & Helen's brother Frances.

Wow another relative.
Would be Grateful for any information you have and if you can send me a copy of your Gedcom to my email address as an attachment that would be grateful.
I have been trying to get the Lindsay side back further tha 1786 but have not had much success in proving anything.
The Lindsay, side is my direct line through Dockray.

If any of your Lindsays connect to Blairgowrie, Bendochy or Rattray in Perth, I would love to hear about them ...
Pam, I tried the new link that you gave to the Dumfries government site and that was unavailable also.
I am looking for an 1861 lookup in Dumfries for another researcher - John Henry born about 1808, possibly in Ireland and his wife Alice, born about 1822, again possibly Ireland and their children, Samuel, Elizabeth and Joseph.
Any help would be great.
