children of William & Hannah SMITH, Wakefield, c. 1800-1810

I am trying to work out who were the children of Wiliam and Hannah SMITH.

Their son, Benjamin Smith, was baptised 5 oct 1807 in Wakefield, All Saints.

the Parish Registers show several other children baptised between 1800 and 1810 who have the parents shown as William and Hannah.

However, 3 such children baptised in 1810 also show the date of birth which conflict with each other, so I am assuming that there is more than one couple called William and Hannah.

I think the william smith in my case married Hannah COOPER - one baptism is for David Cooper smith.

Hi

It was not unusual to have 'x' number of children baptised at the same time, maybe to save time and money.

These 3 children were not baptised on the same day.

Entries from the wakefield PRS :  all baptisms of children of WIlliam and Hannah Smith :


Thomas Smith.  baptised  17 JAN 1810   (born on 5 sept 1809)
Ann Smith,        baptised  26 MAR 1810
John Smith.      baptised   05 JUL 1810  (born on 24 Oct 1809)


It doesn't say when Ann was born.  Either Thomas or John must be the son of a different William & Hannah Smith.
