Trying to trace Rev. Robert Gray who was born circa 1680.
He attended Glasgow University in 1694, class 4.
He was licensed in Hamilton 20 Jun 1700.
He was ordained 29 Jul 1703 when he was appointed Minister of Nesting, Lunnasting in Shetland.
As a result of his move to Shetland there is a large dynasty of the Gray family.
The question is, where did he come from, when was he born, who were his parents.
