I have noted there is a handful of church burial sites  listed....anyone know of a site that may show Ripon-area burials for the 1950's?

Thank you,

Hi John

Sorry we have been so little help to you on this one.

Have you tried using google (the UK version at www.google.co.uk and searching UK only).  Searching for Ripon burials produces quite a few results.

Best wishes  Cheesy

Ripon Historical Society produces microfiche of Ripon burials at the Cathedral and Holy Trinity church and other Ripon chapelries, but with a 100-year cut-off most end in the early 1900s. MIs for Ripon Cemetery are in production at present but not yet published.

If you think the burial in question may have been at Ripon Cemetery, consult the Bereavement Services office at Stonefall Cemetery in Harrogate, where all the original ledgers are deposited and which have recently been computerised.  They just need a name and date and will be able to look up any details for you.
Stonefall Cemetery,Wetherby Rd, Harrogate, North Yorkshire. HG3 1DE. Tel: 01423 883523
Can't find an e-mail address, I'm afraid.

Hope this helps,
