Hello again everybody!!!

Well, thanks to some wonderful help from John4270 I can now say that my Francis was not born in Gainford - this does, however, confuse how my direct line links with the other line I have (the info regarding which has been passed down from Francis' daughter Ann). Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

If anyone happens to have the 1841 Durham Census, could they look-up Francis Hodgson for me? He is born between circa 1784 and 1789. He married a Mary Sharp (b. 1790ish). In 1841 they would have a son called Robert Francis Hodgson who would be about 10 (born 1830). They did have other children by this point - Barbara and Catherine, but I believe these died in infancy. Also Ann (from whom the info about the other Hodgson line that confuses me so much has descended!). Robert Francis is listed as being born in Crossgate, so I'm hoping they may still be in that area. Any help/pointers that anyone could provide as to the vague area of Francis' birth would be much appreciated.

All I know is that Francis and Mary were married 1811 in 'St Marys'
