Sue.

I assume that you have this but I found a Richard Easson who married Ann Bartlett 10th June 1816 in Alverstoke. Gosport.

Their children were Richard Comley Eason christened 12th July 1818 Alverstoke.
John Holding Eason christened 12th July 1818 Alverstoke.

The only James born 1821 that I could find was on the 1881 Census and he was an unmarried retired servant of 60 yrs of age, living in Middlesex but born in Cobham Surrey.

Where does the link to Portsmouth come into it??

Hi Jan,
yes have got that Richard & Ann but the earliest birth I have so far is James c1821 Portsmouth. They had moved to Brighton,Sussex by 1830 where the rest of the family were born.  I have them on the census from 1851 onwards in Brighton but do not have the two you mentioned in Brighton so will assume it's not the same Richard & Ann until I can prove otherwise. Thanks anyway for looking
