Marriage Records Whitchurch Somerset 1820 to 1825

Hi all can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am researching the Sheppard family from Whitchurch. I have a Thomas sheppard born around 1799 and he married Ann (maiden name not known) , whom was born around 1800 to 1801. Their 1st born were Benjamin & James Sheppard in 1825 (assume twins, unless dates wrong!). However, I do not know how I might which church they might have got married in, as I dont seem to be able to find any in Whitchurch, or to be able to find Ann's maiden name. Simiarly, I am at a loose end as to how I might get Thomas or Ann's parents names?

Help or ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi Andrew,

I think this is your SHEPPARD family on the 1851 census at Whitchurch.
Trouble is they are listed as SHEPHARD

From Beavington's transcriptions
Page 10 Shd 37
SHEPHARD Thomas 51 Hwy Labourer Whitchurch, Som.
Ann 49 Stanton Drew, Som.
Page 11
James 25 Labourer Whitchurch, Som.
Solomon 19 Labourer Whitchurch, Som.
Adam 17 Labourer Whitchurch, Som.
William 15 Whitchurch, Som.
Mary 14 Whitchurch, Som.
Alfred 12 Whitchurch, Som.
John 9 Whitchurch, Som.
Jane 6 Whitchurch, Som.

Looking at Ann's birthplace might be a clue as to finding their marriage details.
Check the Stanton Drew parish registers.

I assume Benjamin has either moved away or died

Hi,
   There is a marriage recorded in St.Mary's Bitton between
   
    Thomas Sheppard and Ann Handford on the 11.01.1825
     Page No.141 Entry No.421
     The marriage was by banns and they were both of the
      parish.
