Smiley Hi there,
Well the 1871 gives us a baby Mary 8 mths. Not in 1881.

Henrietta, Roberts sister was 6 in 1881. she was his witness and Joseph Meade was the other witness. Perhaps Andrew Albert didn't attend wedding. Undecided

When would Andrew Albert and his brother, first born. Henry Wall Norris b1851. have left.

They were both born in Islip, I think the marriage of Andrew and Mary 10th Feb 1851 was a bit close to Henry's birth. bap 8 th June 1851.  Smiley

By 1881 Thomas, Elizabeth and Sarah had left.

Yes that was what I meant with my previous post - only I said uncle instead of brother - doh!

I think that Andrew born 1826 Islip was the father Andrew Albert would be Roberts brother.  Question still is though  - did he (andrew the younger)  die as a child (has anyone seen him other than the birth registration - no burial in Islip) - did he leave the country or did he just hide on census nights  Wink

 Well. Smiley

All I can say is that if Andrew Albert married the "missing Bride of Totnes" in1881. Nipped down the road to Plymouth and got on a ship.
Found gold in the Yukon, enough to come home.

Came back to Reading and died in 1901 Mar.
Where are his children and widow?

I shall dream on..... Roll Eyes

  Smiley  Jiya,
It is possible that Andrew Albert did go to U.S.

Just waiting for possible sightings of a William Norris that could be Andrew Albert's uncle.

William was born in England as was his family before going to U.S. wife Sarah, Children. Edward, Frederick and Elizabeth. I hope this family were from around Islip, Oxon area. About 1860 ish...
