Looking for information on William Burns Shaw, Born Feb. 28, 1823, Kilsyth, Stirlingshire. He married Margaret Barrie on Dec 9, 1843, in Kilsyth, Stirlingshire. William died Sept 10, 1866. I am looking for information on the descendants and ancestors of William Burns Shaw and any information on his wife Margaret Barrie.

I wish I could help you there-my family interest in Kilsyth is mainly the Boyds, but various family members married into all surnames you are looking for-Barrie, Burns & Shaw, i.e.-
William Boyd married Ann Burns in 1837, their son, James Boyd, married Mary Shaw in 1862,
a David Shaw married Isabella Boyd ca 1902
& Jean Boyd married Alexander Barrie in 1866
so it's almost, but not quite-what a shame.
I shall keep a copy of your query, though, in case something turns up.
(My Boyds descend from John Boyd & Isobel Small who married in Kilsyth in 1771.)

Thank you so much for the information. This information fills in some of the gaps in my ahcestors' family.
I have a Jean Shaw, born May 5, 1844, Kilsyth, James Shaw born Aug 27, 1848, Kilsyth, Robert Shaw born Aug 16, 1857 died May 14, 1959, Kilsyth, and James Shaw born Mar 26, 1862 died Feb 21, 1863 Kilsyth. These are all Children of Willim Burns Shaw and Margaret Barrie.
I am still looking for information on Margaret Barrie's family. I have some more information on William Burns Shaw if anyone is interested.
