Surname Edmonds

I am looking for information on Emily Rosina Edmonds born Nov 16, 1856 in Little Brighton, Northamptonshire, England. Her parents were Richard Edmonds born abt 1820 in Little Brighton, and Sarah Haynes of Norwich. Richard and Sarah were married Feb. 7, 1842 in Brington, Northamptonshire.

Emily married Alfred Biddlecombe on June 20, 1875 in Oxford, St. Giles, Oxfordshire.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Emma,

This is probably the family. I have information that Emily's father was a blacksmith. I didn't know he was a publican as well, which is interesting as Emily's husband was a publican at the New Inn in Padbury.

From the two separate census records, does this mean Emily was at boarding school?

Hi Sandy,

Thank you for the information on the 1841 and the 1851 census. I wonder, was there an 1861 census? The information on the 41 and 51 census' gives me an idea who Richards parents and who some if not all his sibling were.

There was a census taken from 1831 onwards the 1841 being the start of information that was usable I do not have access at the mo to the 1861.
