NICKSON/ NIXON, Middlewich, Cheshire, from before 1851

I wish to trace this family as far back as I can. So far I have a John and Ann Nixon, also spelled Nickson, aged 40 in Middlewich 1851, son Daniel 15 and son Ezra a few months and grandson John 3 months, all of whom I have found in the BMDs. I have the family in all subsequent censuses --- Ezra went to Leeds at one time then became mayor of Crewe,but where did John the elder come from? And who was the father of grandson John. Any other relatives of this family interest me. Any connections?
     it is an interesting family as a whole
