Swallowfield Parish Records

Has anyone access to the Swallowfield Parish Records. I'm looking for the death of a John Middleton in 1912. John  was born 1860 in Ramsbury, Wilts. His sister Sarah Naish lived in Swallowfield, also his father also John Middleton 1833 -1923 also died there. John was living in Reading with his wife Mary Ann in 1901, so I'm thinking this might be my John.

Ahem .... Matt,

Have been looking for ages for a William PARSONS b. abt 1835 Swallowfield -  parents John & Hannah.

Have checked out an LDS film but couldn't find these PARSONS ... would it be possible for you to check for me? Grin

Hi Newburychap,

Desperate is the word ... but we did get the LDS parish films out for Swallowfield but couldn't find William's birth nor the marriage of John & Hannah.

I seem to remember that there may have been missing records from the film and wondered if Matt had better records???

If the LDS film covers the period of interest then there are very unlikely to be any alternative records.  It is more likely that a) he just wasn't baptised (where his parents nonconformist?), or b) that he was born/baptised elsewhere. 

You could check local quaker, baptist, independent, methodist, etc records.
