Monumental Inscriptions and images of every headstone prior to 1930 for selected Monmouthshire Graveyards can be found at the Ogre:

MONMOUTHSHIRE MI'S

http://www.cefnpennar.com/church_list.htm

I update the site regularly and have many images in the process of being transcribed.

Can you look up please monumental inscriptions for St. Cadoc's Churchyard, Trevethin, Monmouthshire, Wales - JOHN WILKINSON, wife MARGARET W., son died 16 yrs.  grandson William EVANS, b/died 1868.
A family grave with red granite tombstone still standing.  Have photo. of gravestone but not definite details of inscription(s). I have written to Vicar of St. Cadoc's but have had no reply.   Ruth MacLeod, in Australia Huh Cheesy

Is Llanhilleth one of your areas?

If so, could you look for one "George Wilson" death probably around 1900 - 1918

Thanks for looking.

It would help if you posted the photo so that anyone going there could get an idea of what it looked like.
I occasionally get there but not planning to do so this year but who knows?

Brought up an internet site for St. Cadocs which has a similar photo. to the one of the church I posted, but cannot see the tombstone - maybe just out of range on the left.  Hope so, or it has tumbled down in the past  3 - 4 years which was when the person sent the original one to me.  Unfortunately, they didn't note what was written on it.  Thanks, Ruth
