Orlando One Name Study

The new Devon Records Office building at Great Moor House, Sowton Exeter will, hopefully be completed this Summer. It is very likely, that the existing Offices will close an the end of June, for the move of the documents and equipment and that the closure is expected to take about 4 months.

The North Dvon Records Office in Barnstaple will have baptism,marriages and births on microfiche for Ilfracombe.
Other than that I would email them direct and enquire if they hold the material you wish to look at.

Hello All.
I am going( at last) down to Devon next week. I wonder if sks can help. I know how to get from Dawlish to Exeter, but is there going to be a bus service to the new Offices. or do I need to get myself straight to them? if So where do I go from the train station for the bus!!!!
Now then nothing to difficult please....

From Exeter Bus Station, the best bus to catch to bring you to the Devon
Record Office is the PR2 (Honiton Park and Ride) - this is a blue and yellow
bus. The stop for this bus is at the top of Paris Street, just outside the
former Moss Bros shop, next to the former Next store on the corner of High
Street. When you arrive at the terminus, by the Honiton Park and Ride car
park, you will see our building at the far end of the car park - it is a
large former warehouse, pale grey and blue in colour. The entrance to the
building is facing away from the car park, so you would need to walk around
the building to the front. The PR2 will drop you back at the same stop in
Exeter where you boarded it. The bus goes every 12 minutes - on the hour, 12
minutes past and so on, from the Exeter direction, and at 1 minute past and
every 12 minutes after, from the Park and Ride site. I think the fare is
about £2.20 return from Exeter, and the journey will take about 10-15
minutes.
