JAMIESON/BEATTIE marriage

I have been searching in vain for the marriage of Joseph Jamieson and Mary Beattie. Their son Francis was born in Middlebie in 1836. Is there only one church in Middlebie? Where would the records be kept now?
I did visit the village once on my way to Glasgow but it there was nobody about to ask about the church.
Any help or information will be gratefully received.
