The Isle of Wight and Boldre are very close - just a hop across The Solent, the stretch of water that separates the IOW from the mainland.
Both IOW and Boldre have old WOODFORD families but I haven't been able to establish a link between them but some of "my" WOODFORDS moved to the IOW in the 19th century.
I haven't come across Jane Way WOODFORD in my research but I think WAY is a Portsmouth/IOW name. Have you found her on the 1851 census? This would give her place of birth.

That census, as well as the 1861, is actually where I found her name and in a later census after she has passed, 1891, John S.WILLS - my gg gf- is living with his married daughter and her family, several of his children with one daughter named Louise Way WILLS.
Does anything much exist of the early 1800 OPR birth records for IOW?

BUT the 1851 census says that she was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire - not the IOW.

The 1861 says Isle of Wight. So now I am confused. I need to see the entry myself to note the order of members after the head  and yes, I do expect someone to say, 'neck and shoulders, of course!".... 
I have been in contact with a third cousin, thanks to Geoff (please take a bow dear sir!). Perhaps better info exists there.

I am researching Walter James Woodford birth 1858 I.O.W parents Joseph Woodford and Maria Young
Walter James Woodford married Hannah Winter abt 1880
Hannah died 1904 and Walter James remarried 1909 to Sarah Ann Winter
Walter James and Sarah had twin boys in 1912 Alan John Leslie Woodford and Orlando Gordon Reginald Woodford,
I am unable to find deaths of Walter James and Sarah Ann or their twins on th I.O.W
i was hoping you might have a connection to this family
