A marriage took place in Wath upon Dearne on 7 Oct 1798 between John Allen and Ann Mawson. Where would I have to apply to get a copy of this marriage licence bond (if there is one!).
Any suggestions?

Try the Borthwick Institute in York. It's part of the University, and has a major collection of archives for Yorkshire, including wills and marriage licences for most of the county.
