Help locating missing relative
« on: Monday 18 April 05 00:08 UTC (UK) »

William Perris born 1845 Curry Mallet last seen in 1861 census, then appears to have vanished off the face of the earth.
I can't find him on any census anywhere in the UK after 1861, using every variation of the surname I can think of. I've also checked the death records up to 1905.

Any ideas where else I can look for him please?

Hi Joburg

Thanks for your reply. You have the right family, and he is also in the 1861 but disappears after this time.
I have his birth details, 1851 and 1861 census records but then a complete blank.

I do wonder if maybe he emigrated like his sister , but haven't a clue how to even begin to check this out.

Hi Joburg

Yes, he is down as Perry in 1881......and it took me forever to originally find him lol.....then he reverts back to Perris in subsequent records.

Thanks

Hi

Samuel Perris 55 in 1841 Beercrocome is a brother of my  Samuel's  grandfather. I have traced most of them back to about 1700, but prior to that date the parish records are very difficult to read. Also have several very early ones from the NBI  which one day I may find the inclination to sort out  Roll Eyes

Next week I'm starting on another family line but wanted to tie up the loose ends of this family first, and the only one I have totally 'lost' post 1861,  is William born 1845.  I have probably found every  William Perris,Peres,Perrice,Perrish, Perry,Paris,Parris, Parrish in the entire UK but none are mine...and I just don't know where else to look for him  Huh

Cheers....Seren

Hi,
Are you interested in the other group of Perris in Beer Crocombe in 1841?

Hi Joburg

I do have them,  as they're all related. I think that William is going to have to go back into my ' missing' file  for now!

Thanks for your help
