Orkney and other Scots to Canada
« on: Monday 18 April 05 06:01 UTC (UK) »

Was not sure where to put this.

Presently have the book THE SILVER CHIEF in my hands.  It lists passengers in 1803 & 1804 - 1812-1815.    Also Selkirk Settlers of PEI and their land holdings, 1803-07.  Some are from Orkney, Perthshire,  Argyll, Ayrshire, Isle of Lewis, Mull, Highlands, etc.  Just started the book so many more  I am not sure what shires are in Highlands other than Sutherland, so if  areas seem muddled forgive me.  Willing to do lookups while book in my possession.  On interliabrary branch loan.

Many Scots emigrated here - can do pics for Local cemetaries.  Books on N. Norfolk Municipality settlers and local archives.
Computer skills are  limited.

Hello Hannan:

Just spotted your message.   Sorry but only had the book for about 3 weeks in 2005!    You may be able to borrow a copy from a local library or through ILL.  The Sutherland name was in the Fur Trade.
