The Hambleton Family, from gorton

I am trying to trace my family tree from my mothers side, her name is pauline Hambleton, of gorton, her mum was annie, and dad was william, any information would be gratefully recieved.

Hi Mark,

I think you need to tell us what time period we are looking at for us to find info. I can look up the 1871, 81, 91 and 1901 census for you if that will help, but I need a little more info.

I did find a five year old William Hambleton, born in Gorton and living in Pendleton in 1901 could this be the right William? There is also a marriage Between William Hambleton and Annie Sophia Miller in June1901.

The information I am working on is that william hambleton did live in gorton and did marry a annie but unsure of annies surname. they had 5 children around 1945, (*). if you can assist further it would be of great help to my family tree.

The best match i could find that could link to your Annie Brogan on the 1901, but unless you can provide more on her parents and sibling, it is just guess work.

Thomas Brogan Head 31
Mary Brogan  Wife30
Thomas Brogan Son12
Elizabeth Brogan Dau 11
Mary Brogan Dau 9
James Brogan Son 5
John H Brogan Son 1

You would need to get the wedding certificate for the people i posted in the reply above, that way you will have her age and fathers name/Occupation. That way you stand a chance of finding her on the 1911 and the rest of the family on other census.
