My GGG grandmother, Eliza Holden, died in the Ashby Union Workhouse in 1890.
What I am interested in is finding out what other info I get from this. Are there, for example, records of when people arrived or anything that could be useful in finding out more about Eliza and her family?
Hi there, Have a look at the following site and click on records---it tells you what records have survived and are held at the archives: users.ox.ac/~peter/workhouse/AshbyDelaZouch/html Best of luck......
