Trying to find details of  RICHARD AKERS

he married MARY HOGG in the Parish Church in Staindrop on February 24, 1813

I would like to know names of parents and if possible whence they came

Try contacting Durham record Office as they may have a transcript of the Staindrop records which would be easy for them to look at for you.

If there is a Family History centre near your home you could order the relevant microfilm, number 1894198 contains marriages for the year you are interested in.

Hi, the marriage of Richard Akers (of Forcett, Yorks)& Mary Hogg( of this parish)actually took place at Gainford St Mary(no parents are given in these marriage entries.

A Mary Hogg dau of John of Morton was bapt. 21st Dec 1784 there were other baptisms for John of Morton
1) John Hogg 14th May 1780
2)Charles Hogg 13th May 1788 (John & Mary)
3)Jane (26th Apr/29th Dec 1799 )3rd dau of John Hogg of Gainford then Houghton native of Bishop Thorp, Yorks by his wife Mary Fennick native of South Hampsterley
4)George (11th Jul/31st Jul) 5th son of John Hogg of Gainford(son of Charles Hogg) native of Houghton by his wife Mary Fennick(dau of Joseph) native of Hampsterley
5)Eleanor (11th Dec1804/5th May 1805) 4th dau. this time Mary is given native of Winston
