1851 Census - Aberdeen
« on: Friday 22 April 05 20:15 UTC (UK) »

Hi,

Could someone kindly look up ALEXANDER SHEPHERD and his wife ELIZABETH (Elisa) on the 1841 census in Aberdeen for me?

I'm hoping he would still be alive! He would be about 80-84 and she about 55-59. On the 1841 census they were living in Gerrard St. - the John Knox ecclesiastical parish, Civil Parish was West Parish. He was a nurseryman.

I really need to know where he was born - the 1841 just says that he was born outside Aberdeenshire. At the moment, I still have a short list of 3 possible births/baptisms for him so I'm finding it impossible to follow the line any further back!!

Thanks,
Jill.
