 :)Looking for any relatives of George Merrett & Mary Jane Hillier,married 20th Aug 1881,Allcanning/Bishopcannings area
George was son of Sophia,Sophia was daur of John Merrett & Vashti Nash

There are other possibilities, but these seem most likely - I don't know if

Hi Many thanks for the merrett/Hillier info,yes you are correct,George Merrett b < 1859 > was illeg son of Sophia Merrett,John & Vashti Merrett Daughter.George Merrett Married 1881  Mary Jane Hillier and had several children one of which was my Grandfather Frederick Merrett,but for some reason spelt his name (Merritt)he moved to Norfolk or was posted to Norfolk as he was in the Scots Greys, where he married and settled.I would very much like to try and contact any living members of the family,as we live in Norfolk research is not easy
