Could someone please look up the census details shown for THOMAS JAKES, a Ropemaker from Biggleswade, Beds, and his family.

Hi Carole,
I presume we are talking about Thomas Jakes b. abt. 1822.
I only have the images for Bedfordshire for 1851 & 1861 (no index). I have looked through both for any "Jakes" family members and cannot find any in Biggleswade. I see that he is residing in Huntingdon in 1871 (perhaps he had already moved on).
The 1841 images have not been released yet but I can see his Christening in the IGI for Biggleswade (presumeably you have that?) and perhaps 1841 is your best bet as he would have still only been 19. Bedfordshire & Luton Archives have a copy of 1841 census.
