Hi Helen,
Some one may correct me on this but I have found that my ancestors who came from Pennerley in Worthen are not on the Shropshire or Montgomeryshire census.
It is as if a few parts of Worthen are in this big hole that has not been copied when being put to disc by the various cd retailers.
I have the 1851 shropshire and have had look ups done on the Montgomeryshire one and that area is not on either disc. From what I can make out, the only way I will be able to get access to this is at the records office.
This does'nt help you I know sorry. Which part of Worthen are you after??

Don't know if this is help or hindrance According to the National Archives catalogue, the parish of Worthin is split over pieces 4255, 4256 and 4257 Montgomeryshire. Might be worth contacting retailers to see if their Montgomery census contains these pieces (if indeed it's available at all).

You're welcome,
The catalogue can be searched at http://www.catalogue.nationalarchives.gov.uk/search.asp
enter place name, year of census and reference (eg RG9 for 1861) and it will tell you the piece no. and county for that place.

Just out of pure curiosity, which piece number are you looking for? I'm just looking at the list of districts contained on my CD.

Hi Helen
My CD is from the Powys Family History Society. I have just checked it and 4255, 4256, and 4257 are there. However, nearly all of the piece number is missing for 4256, and only Forden folio 1 is there.
I see in an earlier post that Allie's rellies come from Pennerley and was wondering whether that would have been part of 4256
