I am needing some help to try to locate where it was that Agnes Gardner lived when she resided in Dedham, Essex. She was born in the mid 1700's and remained unmarried all her life. She acted as a governess or caretaker for her nephew, Robert Barrie, and he attended school there in Dedham in the late 1770's or early 1780's. I have no information as to the date of death for Agnes Gardner nor the specific name of the house in which she lived during that time period when she cared for her nephew. I have checked the IGI for info to no avail--I have sent an email to St. Mary's asking if they have records that go back to the 1700's in regard to membership rolls but have never received a reply--Would there be anything like that at Colchester PRO? I live in the USA so making a trip there would not be an option for me--so whatever ideas that anyone can give me to help me to locate information on Agnes would be greatly appreciated.
