THEODOSIA MARY WILLIAMSON born October 5, 1842 in Chapel St. Salford, Lancs, married ROBERT TOMPKINS June 23, 1867 in Manchester Cathedral, Lancs. Wit. Wm. J. Tompkins, Susan Tompkins. Son of JOHN TOMPKINS and ELIZABETH FREEMAN. He was born May 17, 1840 in Finmere, Bucks, and died in 1890, Prestwich. Occupation: Coach Trimmer
If anyone has any connections to this family, I should like to hear from them.

There is likely to be a connection with the Tompkins family I have in Marsh Gibbon which is just a few miles from Finmere. Can't be deifinate about this as all I have so far are three children born to William Tompkins, b 1801, M Gibbon and his wife Sarah Clements. These are, Edwin, b 1847, Ann b1849 and Ellen b1856.

I saw your post and that's why I put mine up - I hoped there might be a connection.
As a matter of interest, one of the witnesses at Robert TOMPKINS' wedding was William Jakins TOMPKINS (who I suspect was his brother), quite an unual name, if you should ever come across it.
