Beasleys from Leicester to Michigan

My 3GreatGrandfather was John Brackley BEASLEY. He was born in Leicester in Sep 1843 and was a cabinetmaker on Marlborough St. before moving to Lenawee Co., Michigan, USA, between 1870 & 1873. He died there in 1914. He married Jane or Dorothy Jane BUXTON in England (1st child born 1868.) Their children were Zella (b. England 1868), William (b. England 1870), Arthur (b. Michigan 1873), Florence (b. Michigan 1875), Walter E. (b. Michigan 1877), Charles A. (b. Michigan 1879), and Joseph (b. Michigan 1883 d. Michigan 1883). Does anyone have additional info on this family? Any suggestions on how to find more? I've already checked for BMD records on the UK website, to little avail.

1900 Census, Same Township/County

John Beasley b. Aug 1842 Immi. Year: 1871
Profession: Cabinetmaker
Jane b. Mar 1844 10 births/7 Living Children
Walter E. b. Jun 1877 Carpenter
Charles A. b. May 1879 Paper Hanger
Benjamin J. b. Dec 1889 News Agent
Ethelwyn M. b. Oct. 1877 in Michigan

1910 Census Same Township/County

John B. Beasley (67) Profession: House Builder
Jane
Benjamin J. Mechanic
Leon Grandson Age 6 b. Michigan/F-Eng M-Michigan

Also, in 1910 in Lenawee Ridgeway Co.

Lennie Beasley b. 1894 in Michigan F-Eng M-Eng Hired Hand (Salesman in General Store) living in Household of Mr. Cass D. Zeluff & Family

Wilford Beasley b. 1899 in Michigan Nephew in Household of Charles & Jennie Lister

Charles Beasley (30) b. Michigan Laborer
Wife - Edith (29) b. in Michigan
Married 6 years; No Children

I think this is them -- don't you? Let me know what other information on Sons, etc is of interest to you. Meantime, will see if there is more on John B.'s death or immigration, etc.
Your information was great -- made them easy to find and they didn't move around!!

Great info! You helped me link the other two children that didn't show up on the 1880 census. They're the ones I was looking for. I didn't have Leon on anything, either. He must be one of Will's children, since he was the only boy born in England, unless Ethelwyn married someone from England. I don't know if or where Lennie or Wilford tie into the family, but the rest are mine. Thanks so much!!!

1900 Ridgeway, Lenawee Co., Mich

William Beasley b. Dec. 1870 in Eng. Profession: Huh

? maybe "Painter" but not sure
Wife - Eliza b. Jun 1876 (23) b. in Mich F - Ger M-Ger
Married for 8 years; had 3 births/3 children living
Leonard b. Jun 1892 ( Cool

Leon b. Jan 1896 (4)
Lewis W. b. Feb. 1899 (1)

1910:
Leon w/ Grandparents and is 16 (not 6!) double checked record -- entry is "mushy" but could definately be "16".

Lennie -- 16 or 18??? living in the Zeluff Houshold

Lewis W. is "Wilford" nephew with Charles & Jennie Lister.

Zeluff and Lister could def. be German surnames so maybe Eliza's family.

No record of William or Eliza --- wonder what happened???

Tried to find Arthur H. Beasley -- but nothing came up so maybe left Michigan.

42, those damned smiley's -- I didn't put them there -- don't show on my draft message -- only appear after posting. Wish they would something about that! It's happened before with number entries. Anyway,

Thanks again for helping me put this all together. Arthur died in 1893, thus not showing up on the later census. I think I saw some William & Eliza decendant info on a message board somewhere. I'll have to go try to find it. Yay, new leads!
