Great Grandfather John Lewis
|
Would you someone please look up the following in 1861 please?
John Lewis born 1858/59 Berrington, hopefully living with his father Richard Lewis, a farmer.
I'm afraid that I don't have anymore information at the moment.
Thank you
Jan

Great Grandfather John Lewis

Thank you so much Heather. I am almost positive that this is the right one. John's birthplace is Berrington on the other census returns.
John was my ggrandfather. I have his marriage certificate from 1890 showing his father as Richard Lewis, Farmer but that would make Richard age 89 at the time of the wedding!!!! Did people live that long?! The marriage certificate doesn't show the father as Deceased but could merely be an error by the Registrar
mmmm.....maybe I should put this query on the Common Room Board too!!!!
I will carry on checking.
Thank you
Jan
