Hoopers Moved to Staffordshire?

My family beleive that out ancestors orrignaly came from Devonshire

The Hoopers ere believed to have moved to Staffordshire late 1700 early 1800

The earliest Hooper we have traced is Daniel Hooper born c. 1788 who lived in staffordshire in 1841

Can anyone make this connection?
