Any kind of look up
« on: Saturday 30 April 05 03:31 UTC (UK) »

Searching for any information on a John A Wilson born abt March 1850 Aberdeen Scotland.  Mother's maiden name Margaret Skinner.  John's father died at a young age.  John migrated to Idaho in the late 1870's where I have traced him through all the census records.  John had a younger sister named Sarah or Sally or Alice but no other siblings we know of.  After being settled in Idaho he sent for his fiance Margaret Simpson, also of Aberdeen, she was born October 29, 1851.  They where married in Idaho, he then went back to Scotland and brought back his mother and his sister, I'm thinking around the 1880's he did this.
Any information on the family would be greatly appreciated.

Hi arzheat

Check the Ellis Island records for immigrant into USA from UK at NY for the 1880s as this was main port of entry into the country.  Also your social security death indexes.
