Hello This place name came from the 1871 census at Cardiff St. Mary
                        RG10 5363 62 39
                    John Morgan   64  Llantrisant
                   Mary Morgan   56    Pem  Ponthyddai
                   John Morgan   39  Cardiff
                 Moses Morgan   12 Cardiff

From the Family Bible  Mary Howells was born Feb 1815  Her marriage cert in 1856 says her father was Gilbert Howells

Hoping to idenify location spelling of parish and find PR entry  Am in US so can't go to record office  Thanks LizR

Found Sarah Howell 12 Feb 1826 Old Meeting House Independent  Solva Father Gilbert Howel
Then played on Google Maps and found Porthiddy Cottage Llanrhian  on the other side of the peninsula and LLanhowell in the middle.  On the satellite it looks like an individual farm.
     Does this look right or are those little letter change too much  Thanks so much  LizR

Cant read occupation it looks like Slatter or Spatter?
Everyone on the census page has the  address Porthyddy so assume it was  a small area in Llanrian.Doesnt give family relationships so David and Levi could be children or grandchildren.

Genuki Pembrokeshire is a good site you can go onto the various Towns in Pembrokeshire on there

On Mary's marriage cert in 1856 Gilbert's occ is listed as slater,  don't know if this is the roofing end or the mining end.
Thank you so much.   All I had was the marr cert that my Mom got in the eighties. Now I have places and a whole family.    LizR

vol 11a page 64

To get back further id start a new request asking for a Parish record look up in Llanhowell for the baptism of Gilbert Howell b-1791.You might be lucky .
