If anyone has any information on Elsie Annie Breden of Hunts Green Farm, Lowfield Heath, Charlwood, Surrey it would be appreciated.
Elsie was born 1895 in Charlwood, her father was William John Breden (aged 27 in 1891 census), mother Emily Breden nee Tucknott (aged 29 in 1891 census), sister Emily Jane Breden (aged 3 in 1891 census)
Elsie was mother to my paternal grandfather Leslie Joseph Breden born 1913 E.Grinstead, poss. Leslie's father first name Darrall, surname unknown, was an electrician from London.
Any information on the Breden family or Darrall ? would be kindly accepted. I have only got to the 1871 census so far.

Unfortunately I do not have information on Elsie BREDEN.
I am researching the Breden family history in Australia and have found Anna Maria Williams m Octavius John in St Dunstan in the West London 29 July 1836, with son Octavius William chr. 17 June 1838 St Dunstan Stepney.
OJ died June 1840 Whitechapel.
Anna Maria migrated to Australia 1853, no mention of son on indent. Occupation housekeeper, residence Red Lion Square/Street London.
I have been unable to tracef Anna Maria or Octavius William in the 1851 census.
Have you come across any of these names in your research please?

Hello Robin,
I do not think that your Bredens are related to mine, as my line seems to go back to Sussex, but I have only just started to research so there may be a link somewhere.
I have come across an Octavius Breden born 1852 Newington London on genes reunited at www.genesreunited.co.uk, maybe he is related to yours.
I think I have seen the Octavius name somewhere else but at the minute cannot remember where, I will let you know if I find the names at all in my searches.

Thank you Fiona, I think this Octavius Breden must be another branch of the family mine was born 1838c.
