Paul Penny (Penney) - St Agnes

Emblen Penney was baptised 6 March 1697/98 at St Agnes, the daughter of Paul Penny, and married George NINNIS 1 August 1719, again at St Agnes.

Has anyone any information about Paul - the person who wrote up the Parish Register was clearly of the school of thought that only recorded the father's name!

I have not been able to find a suitable marriage for Paul - and wonder if anyone has come across him in their own tree?
