Well done Bob, it looks great!!

I just entered a few (cough, cough) names, putting the area in the comments box. I tried a search for one of my names and there I was in the results list. When I clicked on my name in the list, up popped a contact box for me to send a message.... super!!

Thanks for doing this for us...

 Grin...it is looking good.

Just entered a few names of mine. Decided then to try out search using 'Smith' as a random choice.  It showed me two members who have entered that name and so I have sent a test email to one of them.   Maybe they will post here if they get it just to say it works. Also tried 'jones' (small case) and without a problem it brought up 'JONES' (all capitals) by SS from the Rhonda and 'Jones'  (first capital) by Nigel G and Manchester Rambler.

Especially like that it seems easy enough to understand and practical enough to be used by many.

That happened to me first time, familyresearcher, then I realised I hadn't clicked on the Add Surname box at start before clicking Submit. I now have seven on ok.

Yes, did it
Pretty straight forward really.  Question:- Will you get more than 25 characters when it is actually up and running?  'Cos Llantilio Crossenny is in Monmouthshire and I only had room to put Mon, which might not be at all obvious to the overseas researcher.  Also I'd like to be able to put both where the family is currently showing to originate from, say Buckinghamshire, but also where they were for a few generations, say Windsor Berkshire.  As people might be related to a more recent branch.

great though

I'll have to talk to Trystan and find out what space is available.

in the meantime, how about something like:

Surname X    Bucks. before 1700
Surname X    Windsor Berks after 1700

Audrey,
(if you don't mind going public)  what problems have you got Huh

I see you in the database, with 2 entries !
