Hesketh/Heskith - Towcester

Does anyone have any information on the Hesketh/Heskith family from the Towcester area between 1913 and 1926. I believe my Grandmother may have worked for them at some point and would like to find out more. Cheesy

Not sure how much you know, but the Hesketh family owned the estate of Easton Neston near Towcester (which includes Towcester racecourse and the village of Hulcote).

It has been up for sale recently (for many tens of millions of pounds!), and I believe has been recently sold.  (They recently held a very grand Sothebys/Christies auction to sell off many of the contents.)

Try Googling Hesketh+"Easton Neston" for more information.

Hi Pennie
I was not aware until very recently when I did a google for the name. Do you know if there are any documents showing names and details of staff during the 19teens/1920's and how/who i would need to contact to access them? I am trying to find out:
a) if my grandmother definitely worked for the hesketh's
b) when she started working there
c) how she came to them.

Any ideas??

Sorry, Dinie, don't really have any further information - although there may be something at the Northamptonshire Record Office.

I live reasonably close to Towcester - and always take an interest when properties change hands for obscene amounts of money!
