I wonder if anyone can help me wit inforamtion regarding Sarah Miller born 1825 Dumfries.
In 1851 census age 26 she is living in Liverpool, i would like to know more about her prior to her marriage.
Can anyone help me with 1841 census or perhaps birth record?

This isn't too far from Dumfries. Do you know her parent's names? Is she with them in 1851?

Hi Pam,
No, in 1851 census she is married with 2 children living in Liverpool.
Her name is so common it would probably be very difficult to find her on 1841 census. All i do know from 1851 census is she was born in Dumfries, no telling if she would have been there 1841 though.
Someone has kindly passed me some birth details from the Scotlands people website but there isn't a Sarah born in Dumfries on that!
I appreciate your reply and if you have any further suggestions of where to look, they will be greatly received. I have tried looking for her marriage to James,but as i have no idea where that would be it is quite difficult. I checked on Lancashire BMD but didn't find a match.

Have now got Sarah's birth cert.
She married 1846, Liverpool.
Her father is named as William MILLER Labourer. So it certainly looks as though the Sarah on LDS is the right one.
I still can't find her mothers name so far as in England only the father is named on marriage cert.
Can anyone help with this at all?
