Sorry my Shiels do not have an agnes the main ones in my lot are James John Shiel and Margaret Dalgleish  who had 9 children all born melrose from 1848 to 1864

I've not got round to Hawick, except passing through

I may be there soon though, got this one though at Minto

I have it because my ancestors were Joiners and Smiths and sometimes there is a link

I think Melrose and Gattonside are only a stones
through away from each other. Our Shiel families may
be connected somehow.
