SHARPE family of Ixworth - help, please!
« on: Friday 06 May 05 12:43 UTC (UK) »

Can anyone help? I am looking for the baptism of Bell Sharpe, born Ixworth about 1829, father Charles (believed born 1796ish), mother unknown. I think Bell's siblings included David (b 1827), Wallace (b 1837) and Ann (b 1840). She married William Read in Poplar in 1853 and they ended up in Bromley, with several Sharpes of Ixworth living nearby.

I have found her father Charles on the 1861 census but unfortunately he is a widow. I can't find anything on the IGI that helps.

Any sort of information about this family would be very gratefully received.

Thank you all very much!

Hi Jane the 1841 census may help

note 1841 census does not list relationships nor does it list exact place of birth only yes or no for inside or outside the county. Adult ages tend to be rounded down in 5 year lots. So these 3 15 year olds are probably not triplets
