1847 Tithe map for Scropton - transcription
« on: Saturday 07 May 05 11:19 UTC (UK) »

Here is a Tithe map and index of names for Scropton, Derbys, sorted by occupier and dated 1847:

N.B. One or two underlessees are in the description column.

I plan to do Marston-on-Dove & Hoon in Derbyshire and Hanbury, Fauld, Marchington, Tutbury, Hanbury & Anslow just over the border in Staffordshire. Unfortunately, there is no map or index for Hatton, Derbyshire. There is a reference to some corresponence about Hatton which I've yet to look at but it probably explains why Hatton isn't covered by the tithes.

I've already transcribed the tithe map and index for Draycott-in-the-Clay, Staffs, dated 1839 which is here:

Take care,
Paul
